Steve Rose, the editor of Bike magazine contacted me on a summers
Monday morning. He told me that they were going to do a rebel feature and that
he had seen my adverts in the rival Old Bike Mart newspaper.
He said that I was only one devoted to only vintage motorcycle
clothing so I was the natural choice to have my jackets photographed as well
as a good story.
Only two days later on Wednesday, Steve Rose came with a photographer and they
got busy taking quite a few photos. My good friend Steve Lawrence came as well,
you can see him elsewhere on this site riding my Honda CD 175 on the same day.
What I liked was the fact that I was contacted out of the blue
and it makes a nice change not to have to continue to advertise in a magazine
just to be included in a feature as I have only advertised three time in their
sister magazine, Classic Bike, so well done to Steve Rose and many thanks again.
